New York Comedy Night at Arthaus Projects

August 3, 2019 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm EDT

$5 – $10

In August The Comedy Shop and Arthaus Projects are bringing you a showcase of three comedians from New York, and what a show it will be!

Billy Kelly has been entertaining people of all ages since the late 20th century, AD. Over the course of his 20 year career Billy Kelly has opened for President Barack Obama, duetted with Davy Jones of The Monkees, and been nominated for a Grammy Award — in that order. NPR has praised his “endearingly oddball sense of humor,” and the New York Times has cited his “comedy that some have found offensively clean.”

Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters performed at the Funny Bone in Syracuse, the Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York City, won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York.

One of the bright spots in Utica, Phil Canarelli combines a love story-telling, comic-book culture and not having children to present the audience with an enjoyable display of what a young comic should be. Canarelli produces and hosts the Utica Brews Laugh Contests and traveled around New York and Pennsylvania during the fall of 2018 for the Family Circus Comedy Tour. He does not like squirrels.

Hosted by Kevin Seibert. Advance tickets will cost $5. Admission is $10 the day of the show. Tickets will be for sale soon! The show is B.Y.O.B., but please have I.D. if you intend to D.R.I.N.K.
