Steamroller Print Day
April 28th, 2018
In conjunction with the exhibit Under Pressure showcasing regional printmakers, Arthaus Projects hosted a demonstration of a unique method of printmaking using an industrial pavement roller to turn the street into a gigantic printing press. Several of the exhibiting artists including Chad Andrews, Madelin Beattie, Chris Leete, and John McKaig produced woodblock prints pressed with the 1.5 ton roller in front of the Arthaus Projects gallery at 140 W Fourth Street in Williamsport.
Members of the public were able to watch the process from beginning to end, as well as talk to the artists about their work.
